Let me say thank you in advance of replies. I am new to this forum and am hoping to get some fresh idea's. I have a project studio that has been expanding for a few years now. I use a Roland VS-1824 as my main tracking device. I know I made a mistake when I purchased this due to the proprietary software they use so please don't remind me.

I currently have a Big Ben master clock routing to my RME FF800.

My FX Processors dont have a dedicated WC input, so I assume I need to run my S/PDIF to my soundcard. However, is it critical that the soundcard would be a slave clock (from the Big Ben) or does it have to be a master?

I'm trying to find a notebook interface strategy that will handle more than 2 channels (more than 1 AES input). The AES inputs are already sync'd. For a PCI interfcae the Lynx 16 AES would be perfect, but trying to find a notebook strategy. All the 1394 interfaces seem to only support a single AES or S/PDIF input.

hello, my question is reguarding sound cards and i was wondering what sound card would you recomment that has multiple recording inputs so that i can route a line from each of my channels on my mixer to different inputs on the sound card so i can multitrack every channel in the program.. I'm looking for a card with at least 12 inputs. PLEASE HELPP!

Ok, now its time to decide on the interface for my budget studio. I have the vocal booth materials made from office panels and noise reduction blankets, so it should sound reverb free.

Hoping this is the right forum to post this. I play at church with up to 3 different guitars on a given night. My current setup is a 6 channel DI box which outputs to a 8 channel mixer. The mixer has an FX loop for effects then out to church board then to PA. Since one of my guitars is running a Roland GR-33 synth that too is another signal.
