I now have a budget of around £200 for a decent interface - either firewire or USB.

The system I’ve been using for the last 3 years is a Toshiba laptop running Nuendo with a RME Hammerfall 8in/8out audio interface. (with a pci card to connect to laptop) and a Midiman 4x4 midi interface. I have had no problems with this system… But now I am upgrading to a new dualcore desktop PC.
