Is it possible to use pro tools LE software to record tracks from an RME fireface provided I have an Mbox? I prefer RME converters and preamps and would like to use pro tools software.

I'll need it to record on my 1.2GHz iBook, so far I've used Logic Express but would like to try different hosts. I'll never use more than one input at a time, either guitar, mic, or MIDI, so a high number of simultaneous inputs and outputs isn't relevant. I guess it also means that I can make do with USB 1.0.

Im planning to get myself a firewire audio interface soon. and was looking at the M-Audio Firewire SOLO, since I would be using a maximum of a coupla inputs at a time.
Any users out there have any comments or suggestions. on this product or any other suitable mobile firewire interface. Thanx..

I've been looking for hours and hours to choose an audio interface and a midi keyboard...
I think i will choose the O2 by Midiman but i need advice to choose the audio interface...
I would like to record guitar tracks without any preamp. Which one do you recommend from this site?

Is there any way you can hook a firewire hard drive directly to a firewire interface and record without the need of a computer?
I was looking at the 3 motu's, firepod, and fireface.

Im currently using the Audiophile 2496 by M-Audio. I read up on some other cards like the E-MU 1820m the 1010 by m-audio the MBOX and others. .My question is what is up with this 192khz compared to the 96khz on the lower class interfaces. My audiophile runs 24/96khz the higher end 1820m by Emu runs 24/192khz But then also on the higher end the 1010 by audiophile also runs 24/96khz.
