I listened to some in guitar center a couple weeks ago.. they sounded good to me, maybe a little bassy for my liking. After all they are for monitoring not listening.. ya kno? They were about $1000 a pair.. Anybody had any experience with these?

I'm in the process of purchasing monitors for my home studio and have run into a bit of a headscratcher:

Any experience, feelings, opinions on JBL L-56. 10" and a tweeter. I want some larger monitors. These are old but they are JBL...

What do you think of these monitors?

Anybody using the JBL LSR 4328P's how are they?

A few people asked me about the JBL monitors.

I've had them for about 2 weeks now and feel that I can begin to adequately judge them, so I'll give a quick run-down.

I just bought a pair of used JBL Eon G2 15" speakers. One is great. The other has a rattle in it. I suspect/hope it's something loose inside.
The rattle isn't continuous. It occurs mostly at a low/mid range. I'm using them to monitor Vdrums and, when I hit the second highest tom, it rattles.

when making an analog connection between my audio interface and monitors, should the DIP switches still be set to L and R respectively, or do I need to set them both to L?

Well I'm getting ready for a shopping trip for powered monitors in the $1400-$1800 range, and one of the usual suspects is the JBL LSR4328. While I'm inclined to be well disposed toward JBL I'm a little leary of the whole concept of the "room correction" electronics. My room may not be perfect, but I've put in a lot of bass trapping and calmed the most obvious resonant modes.

I am looking for a reasonable priced good sounding amp for my JBL LSR 32 monitors. Do you think CROWN XLS402 is a good studio amp?Thanks in advance
