Joemeek VC7. Seeking Alan Hyatt and others' help.
Hope this is the right place to post this?
I have seen a VC7 for £300 new and want some opinions on it. I already have a VC1Q which I like a lot, are the pre's in the VC7 the same or better?
Joemeek plugin emulations and other clones - comparison
Hi friends!
I have just started evaluating Joemeek classic compressor, model SC2, plugin version for PT TDM systems, 5.x.x.
I have just finished some bass guitar recording sessions and I have been quite satisfied with this emulation. I wasable to achieve better resuts than with my old good 166(A) dbx units.
joemeek/promeek/tfpro changes
What's in a name?
The company has had 3 names since early December-ish.
joemeek.com used to redirect to promeek.com Now promeek.com now re-directs to tfpro.com
Why did the joemeek name get sold in the first place? Why didn't Fletcher own it?
Very interesting. Any insight, anyone?

Joemeek VC1Q schematic available
For anyone interested in weird and wonderful circuits, I have the schematics for the Joemeek VCQ1 - micpre / processor.
It features the "meequalizer" and a photo-electric compressor.
Let me know you're interested and I'll send it over.

RNC meets Joemeek
Hi all--
First post, so hello.
I just got rid of my dbx 286A which got replaced by a used Joemeek VC1Qcs and a new RNC. I wanted more control over the compression for guitars, and vocal tracking.

Joemeek compressor sounds
Was doing 'cabaret' or Ben Folds Five, style piano today (a synth), LOTS of slammed down hard chords, in a jazzy rock track, the stereo Joemeek (SV3?) I have made a nice round 'crushed' sound..
I also used it on Di bass..
I dunno, I was going to sell it, cause it is 'weird' and not used so often.
Any one digging Joemeek compression?
On what?

Anyone using a Joemeek VCQ-1cs w/VC1QD 24bit card?
I have been searching for a "nicer" Mic Pre and compressor to use as a front end to the Digi 001. I would like to have a discrete solid state mic preamp with very little coloration to be used on a variety of source material. I have been very impressed by the FMR Audio RNC compressor and have heard a Mic Pre is in the works but I have no idea when that might be available.
Focusrite voicemaster or Joemeek vc1Q

CurrentSense Mic Pre by Joemeek ?
I just came across this:
Joemeek announces revolutionary new microphone preamplifier technology.
The "CurrentSense" microphone amplifier.
It's on http://www.joemeek.com
And the Joemeek people say (of course) that it is a brand new way of pre-amplification.
My questions:

Mic Preamps (Joemeek ?)
Hi
I use a Yamaha MD8 and the mic preamps are pretty bad. I was looking into mic preamps around the sub $300 price range. I was thinking of getting the Joemeek VC3Q which goes for $200. I'd like opinions of this unit and I'd also like to know if another mic preamp beats the Joemeek in quality in the $200-300 price range.
Thanks
