Problems with MIDI keyboard, no signal in DAW.

I am beginner in home recording. I've recently bought a new audio interface, the Tascam US-122MKII, to record audio, guitar and MIDI tracks. I've successfully recorded all but the latter. For some reason I can't get any signal from my keyboard in my recording software. I've connected correctly the MIDI cables also.

M-Audio Axiom 88

Picked up an M-Audio axiom 88 yesterday and I'm in love with it. The hammer actions keys feel amazing. They are so close to the feel of my actual piano. The pads aren't amazing but they do what you need them too. But the biggest perk is being able to control your daw with the faders and knobs on the Axiom, it really had helped with work flow.

Looking for a keyboard in the $500 range

I'm looking to get a keyboard in the $500 - $700 range. Will be using it mainly for recording purposes (so midi capabilities needed), but also for live performances from time to time. I'm mainly looking for something that has realistic sounds, so not Casio. It seems liek Roland and Korg are the top brands.

Small waveforms for keyboard tracks

Greetings. I was asked to play guitar and help record a band that's like Lacuna Coil. Always up for a challenge, I agreed. Mostly, we are working remotely. I received the keyboard parts recently, and when I imported them into Studio One, I noticed that the wave forms are nearly invisible. I can hear the tracks, but I am wondering why this would be.
