Need help deciding b/w Lynx L22 and E-mu 1212m

I am thinking of buying a card for my PC to use with Ableton Live and have been looking at the Lynx L22 and the E-mu 1212m.
Both apparently have the same AD to DA converters and the E-mu has midi and a few other extras that the Lynx does not have, eg on board DSP and is half the price.

Has anyone had the opportunity to compare the two cards or had an experience with either?

Help me replace my Lynx L22

Hi,

I have a Lynx L22 that I love but I am having some Mthboard/Lynx problems. I cant upgrade to any of the newest drivers because of issue between the 2. Right now it works fine but I just want to be able to know I can upgrade in the future. What other audio cards would be compariable with the converters, etc in the lynx. I only use 2 stereo analog ins and 1 spdif.

Lynx Two B for monitoring a 7.1 mix?

I was reading the Lynx Two PDF info file from Lynx's website, and they mention that the Lynx Two B is an "ideal choice for mixing and post-production, including 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound". The "B" model is the 2-in, 6-out version.

I can see how mixing (and monitoring) can be done in 5.1, but how could someone use 6 outs for 7 channels of audio?
