accessing PC hard drive with a Mac OS X

A client will bring in a session recorded on a Mackie HD recorder and we would like to edit and mix the stuff on my PT|HD rig running on a Mac G4 OS X. (all the tracks have been 'consolidated'.)

My plan is to just take the drive out of the SCSII enclosure and connect it to my Mac or insert it into a Firewire enclosure.

Demo software for Mac OS 9 to compare with Digital Performer

Hi all,

I compared DP 3.11 to DP 2.72 and heard some suprising differences in warmth and detail. 2.72 was better. 3.11 was brighter, dryer, and lacked low-level detail.

I really want to demo another application to further my research. I have ther 2408MKII, so I suppose the application would need to be compatible with that as well as OS9.

Any suggestions?

Dean

importing audio files created on a mac to a PC

I recently recorded a band and they wanted the audio files for themselves so they could mix it on their PC.

I have a mac and use Logic 5.5 and I just burnt the files as they are in other words, in whatever format Logic creates them. I presume they are Sound Designer II files. Anyway, they couldn't import them into whatever sequencer they were using (I think it was Cubase).

Pro Tools session Mac --> Pro Tools session PC?

I have a Pro Tools song that is originally created on a Mac computer. Now a have the song on a CD and wants to work with it on my PC. When a use Windows to view the CD contents I notice that there are no file-extensions on the files. I can rename the sessionfile an manually add the '.pts' on the filename, but when I then try to open it in Pro Tools, the program says:
