UK Mastering Houses/Kit Hire
Hi, I had a search for a similar thread, and my searches didn't trump anything so I thought I'd ask...
I have just completed a promotional recording, and would like to add a bit of polish to it, by either sending it off to a mastering house or getting my hands on a tc electronics finaliser which i have success with in the past

Bandwidth limiting in Mastering?
hello...
Released my ex-band's CD in 2006; & at that time, my vehicle only had a Cassette player. So I dubbed the music down to cassette for playback in that vehicle...& it sounded GREAT...I mean, really clear, detailed & punchy.

Mastering Recommendation?
I am finishing up an R&B / Urban Pop album and am in need of a reputable mastering house. I am definitely on a budget, but for reference, several of my favorite albums were mastered by Brian Gardner at Bernie Grundman and Chris Gehringer at Sterling Sound.

Is the Mastering Engineer making a comeback?
I wonder what the state of the industry is these days. Are more people having their work mastered by a "stand alone" M.E. or are the do-it-yourself folks making yet more inroads?
What is the Rec.ORG community doing?
Has it worked out for you?
Would you change for your next project (either way)?
Mastering for Voice Communications
I was wondering if any of the ME's here have ever done any work for purely voice communications (e.g. prepping a track for playing over a bandwidth-limited channel).

MASTERING - Wavelab or Cubase?
Use WAVLAB or just Cubase “mastering section” to master?
Seems like they are about the same.
I have Cubase & have access to Wavelab.
For someone new to mastering, is there an important difference between?
I have 3 songs (all to be on the same demo CD).

'Track Zero' "mastering"
I am working with someone who wants to put a track zero hidden track on his next album; the 'song' is a drumbeat and rapped lyrics that are much more vulgar than the rest of the song, and only 'hardcore' fans will find it.
