which is the best mastering compressor vst plugin ?

Hello, I am going to be recording an album in early 2007. I will be having it mastered when it's completed.

I was wondering if any MEs on here would be interested in mastering an old (poorly) recorded cover song I did a few years ago. I know that the recording itself isn't very good at all, but I am just interested in how good a ME can make this song sound.

Hello everyone. I've ventured into live recordings for a music television station, and we've never gotten around to doing a contract. They simply call me up, say "we need quality sound for a live shoot" and I show up, record the show multi-track, take it to the studio and mix it. I give them a L/R aiff file that they put over the video. No problems.

Back in '93 I recorded some songs at a studio on what I'm almost sure was a Tascam 688 MidiStudio 8-track Cassette Recorder. I still have the masters but cannot find an analog 8 track mixer to rent (only a 4 track). I do not want to buy one for just a couple of songs.

With regards to the Plugin Realm:
Anyone know of a better plugin compressor than the PSP Mastering Compressor?
Ive tried a lot of different ones, but none come close as far as being able to get my music loud during mastering, without crushing the dyanamics. Its pretty transparent.

I am using an Emu 1820M with a Studio Projects B3 mic.
I got 2 Rokit RP5's and getting a sub probably tomorrow.

I record my vocals in mono with levels peaking around -18dB
Which I know is good for headroom purposes.

I'm trying to contact those people at colossal mastering.
They have a form to fill in, but the page always give an error when submitted.

They also have an email address, my mail has been bounced!

They also have a phone number, but I live in Europe...My english speaking is not good.

I know this is really simple or impossible.

I'm using Reason 3 in a project for the drum tracks and recorded guitar tracks in Acid 6. Is there a way to have the MClass Mastering suite effect the audio tracks in Acid some how?

It sound weird with half of the mix being mastered.

Would someone please tell me what separation mastering technique is?

I know that some of you have tried many mastering houses. In fact some of you may do that very thing.

I am looking for recommendations on where to send a project to.
