mic preamp?
I know it's cheaper stuff, but i have my eye on either the PreSonus Eureka or GT "The Brick".
Which one should I get?
To be used on vocals and acoustic instruments.

Understanding A/D converters along with Mic Pre
I'm on my continual journey to get the best home recording environment (I can afford) and was talking with another friend (session percussionist) about gear.
The subject of quality mic preamp's came up (which I understand for the most part) but then along with it he said that a good sound was dependent on A/D Converters (Analog to Digital).
Looking For A Microphone Preamp?
Hey everyone. I am currently in a Radio Broadcasting program and I do a TONNE of voice over type work through my own computer here at home. I currently have an Audio-Technica AT3035 condensor microphone that I love, it seems to give me great sound and amazing clarity. There is a couple things though that I would still like to improve.

mid priced mic preamps
I'm looking at these and wanted some input. Grace design 101 vs gt brick vs summit audio 2ba-221. I know thats kind of all over the place but what I'm looking for needs to be a.) fairly versatile b.) different sounding than my firefaces preamps c.) a worthwhile step up in sound quality from the preamps in the rme.

Need advice on a U87 & mic preamp for an R&B vocalist..
I'm an R&B vocalist described as having a clear 1st Tenor crooner type voice (good low range too). I'm looking to upgrade my current Studio Projects C1 mic to a U87. For mic preamps I currently have an Avalon M5, RME Fireface 800 (mic preamps on it), and an ART Tube MP.
Great tube mic preamp recommendations for under $500?
I originally posted this in the Pro Audio forum, but this might be a better place for it...
Great tube mic preamp recommendations for $500 or under?
After years of running my AKG C414 direct into a board in my home studio, I have decided that I need to step up and buy a tube mic preamp. Problem is, I have absolutely no idea where to start. There are a lot on the market and I don't have enough time to read recording magazine reviews every month, so I'm hoping for some guidance.
