What mics are best for drum overheads and bass drum recording?
I'm looking for cheap (50-100 dollar range for each mic) overhead and bass drum mics to record my drum set. I already know what I'm going to be using for the snare (sm57 of course).
Thanks

expensive headset mics..worth it?
anyone have any experience with these.
i use a wireless Shure WH30-TQG headset($130) when we rehearse our songs live cause i constantly have to be different placed in the room to set things up as we go and have to access my guitar pedal while I'm signing.

Dirt Cheap Mixer/Mics!
I'm in a band (surprise!) and we're looking to record our first demos. No awards for guessing, we need the mixer and mics dirt cheap!
I am the drummer, and I'm completely new to recording above what we've been doing so far, a guitar hero mic which just goes to USB. It's not great.

discussion about drum mics
Currently I am using AKG c1000's as overheads, sm57s rI'm mounted to the snare and toms, AKG D112 on the bass drum, and another 57 under the snare positioned to also get the front of the kick, with total of eight channels.

Cheap Chinese Ribbon Mics: Seeking sample tracks.
I've searched up and down this site, I've Googled, I've hit Youtube. So far the only vocal sample I could find was a female vocalist using a FatHead II, which was posted on this site.
Anybody have any source of samples/demo tracks/etc with these mics?
Different mics for vocals in the same song?
Do you guys do this? Say you have a song that has generally quiet parts during the voice, you may use a condenser, then for a big chorus would you go to a dynamic?
I mean, this probably doesn't matter for me and my bedroom recordings... but I just wanted to know
