Seems this is my first post on this forum page..

I use PT Mix 5.1.1 with 2 ADAT bridges light piped to an 02R, mostly at 44.1k/24 bits. I know this is weird and hard to quantize, but assuming two different situations that I present below.. what are the advantages in each case, in terms of percentage:

a) PT MIX x PT HD both at 44.1k/24 bits

Sometimes in many produktions I can hear that the hall on the snare is in the middle.
Sometimes the whole drumset too.
Do I hear ghosts? :)

Has anyone tried to use a Pro Tools Mix system
on a PC with XP installed? Digidesign says that they have come across no problems yet, but they haven't finished testing. Any info would be cool. Thanks

Is the Tascam 32 a worthy 2 track for mix down from high sample rate digital recordings? Or is it just a toy?

How do you mix down the vocals to make them stand out of the track,.,.,..

do you do a soft pan on the doulbes and center the adlibs or vice versa..

I'm mixing down an album right now (electonic/hip hop ) and when listening to reference CDs I'm hearing tight hard bottom end and sparkling highs. When I mix I have this but not at the level in terms of presence that these other CDs have it. Is that mastering?

Hi in the summer or fall we might sell our Mix Cubed rig along with an 888/22. What is a good asking price. We would sell it and buy an HD3 w/192. Selling would be better I think because the upgrade period would be over.
