Does a recording studio require a Mixer ?
I wanted to know if the Focusrite 18I20 will be sufficient for Recording.
Main goal Is to setup a Semi Professional Studio.
Would there be a Way to work around not getting a Mixer?
It would also be how my Microphones I need.
The Maximum I would need is Recording a Drum Kit.
Thanks again!
Regards Norman!

Computer/Mixer Question
I'm looking to connect 1 pair of speakers (Event 20/20) to a Yamaha MG10/2 mixing console so I can use these speakers as monitors for 2 different computers (not simultaneously). 1 computer has 1/4" outs via the audio interface & on the other computer I can only output through the 1/ 8" headphone port which is why I figure I can do this with the mixer.

In ear monitor mixer question (hope I’m in the right place)
Newbie here. I was unable to find an active Mackie forum or one dedicated to live sound. If anyone can suggest a more appropriate place, please do so. I’m not very well-versed in this sort of thing.
Hybrid summing with analog mixer
I recently read this thread this guy is explaining how he uses his daw as a console and his analog mixer for summing:

Yamaha MC2404 to record to various tape decks
Hi, new here. Question about recording. I am all analog. Using a Yamaha MC2404 as my main console with various inputs. Live mics for my daughters band, various tape decks and turntable for music input. I want to connect this mixer to another one to use as a recording console. I have a Yamaha MC802 Fostex 450 and a Behringer SL2442FX and want to record to various tape decks and CD.
Analog mixer + audio interface still best choice
All right, I just spent half a day researching this, including on this website, and I'm still not sure, so I registered just in order to ask.
Sound card to summing mixer mixup?
Hey guys,
my friend has an 8x8 soundcard (8 ins / 8 outs) Apogeesymphony.
I plan to buy a NEV-8816 summing mixer.
The summing mixer has more 8 more inputs than the soundcard.
Is it possible to use all 16 channels when doing analog processing even if my friends sound card only has 8 inputs ins/outs?
