I currently own a Scarlett 18i20 and am using my iPad or faders on a Novation SL MKII to control Ableton Live and [="http://www.apple.com/logicstudio Logic[/]="http://www.apple.co… Logic[/]. I'd love more control over the faders and more general DAW control from my hardware.

I'm looking to buy a used mixing console, but I'm trying to find out which one is warmer or better sounding.

Is it: Soundworkshop, Soundcraft, or Soundtracs ?

I bought a small (older) Yamaha MG12/4) to be the board for a small home online radio / pod cast show I was planning on doing. One of the older heavy ones without USB connection as I thought I could rig up a connection to the lap top.

Is there on market a good 8 mic channel mixer to use stand alone and also as controller for Pro Tools with an ADAT interface on it?

OK, straight to the point. I'm using Logic 9 on my MacBook Pro, this is connected via USB to a Steinberg UR22 Audio Interface.

I also have an M-Audio Axiom 49, also connected via USB to the Mac.

Now, I've decided to make use of some outboard units, namely the following:

i did a google and came across some interesting stuff about the board, but no yay or nay on my question. i don't own the board so i have little time for experimentation, and as far as i've seen so far on the ipad control program, you can't adjust effects parameters.

I'm completely clueless when it comes to professional audio setup. I've been tasked to manage a small live show that involves some acoustic performance. So I started calling local audio rental places, then I ran into someone who is selling some church old audio equipment.

It includes a Mackie FR1400 AMP, and a Yamaha Mixing Console MG 10/2.
