Good & Cheap Mixer-to-Computer connection?
Hi (again),
I've managed to buy a Soundcraft Folio SX mixer for not too much and am now trying to find the best possible way to connect it to different computers.
The thing is that not all have a soundcard with a line-in that isn't the mic-line input…
So I've started looking at the idea of USB/Firewire sound interfaces.

teac model 5 help... please
i just got a teac model 5 in from ups. mixer is in great cosmetic condition. the only thing is that when i flick the power switch, the vus and lights flash for a second and then go dead.
it is not connected to anything as of right now. it is just plugged in to the wall socket.
does this thing need to be grounded to something before it stays on?

FX Mixer or Just use a seperate DFX
Hi. . keen to get a mixer for myself, with at least 8 faders. I had my mind on Behringer because of the cost and then RO totally changed my mind.. haha.. I now eyeing on Mackie DFX-12 or Yamaha's MG124FX 12. Had looked at Peavey's PV-10 I need opinions on which is better and my needs are to record violin or to mix a rock band.

Mixers - Roland? Soundcraft? Mackie?
Hi everyone.
I'm thinking of buying a bigger mixer, but something within budget (hence posting here).
Now, I've come across a few offers of second-hand mixers, among which the following:
- Roland M16E
- Soundcraft Folio SX
- Mackie 1604 VLZ Pro
Is there one you would suggest, or are the ones where you would tell me to forget about them?

Quality of converters on Mackie d8b mixer
Could anyone tell me what is the sound quality of the converters on Mackie d8b console? I could get one cheap but it's not about the money.. I don't wanna get something with converters sounding much worse than a decent ouboard converter. I would buy RME 5692 card with 3 ADAT interfaces and use d8b as a mixer/converter going to either nuendo 2 or Cubase sx3.

Connecting to a mixer
I want to connect a 528E to a Mackie 1202 vlz pro in order to record my voice. I'm using an Echo Mia sound card. I don't need to use phantom power as my tube mic has a power supply. How is the best way to connect the processor to the mixer?

Help tracking down a routing problem in mixer?
I have a Phonic 2443A mixer that appears to have some sort of routing problem. Yeah I know, Phonic, hahaha...OK. I bought this cheap on purpose cause I just needed it in my personal home project studio for some things. If it is broke then i'll buy something else but out of curiosity I wanted to know how some of you pros would trace down an issue like this.
