looking for a mixer to use in daw mixdowns

hello everyone, i've been trying to mixdown in daw software for years now, and i hate it. completely. in the next year or so i would like to get a mixer that i can use to apply eq and mixdown using contols that i am comfortable with. i really don't care to learn any control surfaces, so i'm not really considering one for this purpose.

Tascam DM3200 Digital Mixer

I have yet to find some basic info regarding the compatibility as a DAW controller of the DM3200 and a Pro Tools Setup. I have a 002 Rack and will eventually move over to the HD systems as money allows. However, is it enough to purchase the FireWire card and plug directly in and with a few configs the DM3200 will play nice with Pro Tools? (Ver. 6.4 Currently). Anyone use this setup?

Im on the look out for a mixer for my home based project studio.Im having a hard time picking one out.I was gonna get one from the VLZ PRO series but I keep reading reviews about poor build quality ie defective components.Im looking for some thing that allows me to have 2 pairs of monitors,mabey a 4 bus?Im not too sure,is there any brands or models you can suggest?Obviously I want the best qual

DAW to Summing mixer... Worth it or not ?

Im curious if any of you use a summing mixer from your DAW + UAD/TC plugs .

And if so.. any comments towards a better "warm sound" in the mix ?

Im in the process of updating my converters Apogee Rosetta 800 and was wondering if items such as TUBE TECH SSA 2A or Dangerous Music products hold up to what they claI'm their products can do.
