I saw a new Korg DIgital 32 track mixer any thoughts on that with pro tools or how it works with other software..or if you have seen a better digital mixer

If we wanted to setup our Alesis HD24 on it's own mixer...what would you recommend? At this time, we only need the mixer to set gain and levels going to the recorder. After that, we'll dump all the data to a computer.

I'm in the process of researching purchasing a higher quality mixer for both FOH and monitor (one stop shop) than I've been using (Mackie 32.4) and wondered if I could get some comments from any of you with experience with the following brands/models. I am not currently mixing stereo IEMs, and usually only run 4 monitor mixes.

I'm just curious, can someone explain your gain settings on a mixer's preamp section vs the "level" (volume) setting? It the level passive attenuation while the gain is true amplification?

I am new to this forum. I just got a new Yamaha 01v Digital mixer that I am trying to hook up to my PC for a direct recording to my hard drive instead of going to an external ADAT recorder. My question is how do I get the PC and Mixer to talk to one another and what would be the ideal card that I'll be needing for the mixer and the PC?

:( 1. I need suggestions regarding what kind of mixer to purchase (for under $200) for my little home set up. I want one that has a relatively simple learning curve. I am not that great at this.

I contacted musician’s friend and they suggested one with a USB and firewall. I barely know how to set up the one with the RCA and ¼ cables.

I'm having a bit of a problem with my mixer and recording. my mixer outputs from the balanced XLR output and into my computers microphone jack. when i record, theres a a constant electric buzzing sound in my track. my phantom power is on.. and suggestions to eliminate this unwanted sound?
