What about building a dbx Channel Strip mixer ?

I was wandering... if it's possible to make a "console" from those dbx Channel Strips? I could have a whole bunch of those together... let's say, 16 of those... around $8000... that would be 16 channels with EQ and compressor, 96k digital outs... doesn't sound THAT bad to me... don't get me wrong... I don't even have all that money... that's just a thought... is this a ridiculous thought?

Mixerman's 10 Steps to Better Mixing

Once again, this is a re-post of a re-post of an article I wrote sometime ago. This one has never been altered, it is exactly the same as it was the day I wrote it (in less than 2 minutes), and has stood the test of time.

I have gotten good response to this, and now that I have a forum for these things, I thought I'd put it up.

Now the 10 Steps:

Welcome Mixerman

Just thought I'd drop by and say hi. I know if you continue to impart the type of knowledge here that you've graced RAP with this forum will go a long way.

Anybody that doesn't know Mix, believe me, he knows whereof he speaks. Listen, read, print it out, put it in a 3 ring binder, and read it again!
