First Post! Buying Yamaha's HS50M Monitors Tomorrow
HEY GUYS!
Why can't I pan when monitoring in Cubase?
I would like to pan monitoring in the headphones while I am tracking, but there appears to be no way to do this. I can pan once the track is down, but not during tracking. I have tried fiddling with all of the settings I can think of.
Is there no way to pan the signal while tracking in Cubase?

SPL MTC 2381 Monitor & Talkback Controller
Just thought I'd mention that I've been using the SPL MTC 2381, Monitor Talkback Controller for a year now and it is excellent. I'm really happy I bought it and highly recommend it. It does exactly what its supposed to do and the sound quality is excellent."Stereo volume, source and monitor control with cue mixing and talkback functions"

Tracking and monitoring in the same room- Problems ?
I am posting this here, in addition to the other forum on studio construction, since it has been there for some time without any replies. Maybe it will get better views here. To me, it seems like an important question to which there must be an answer.
Monitoring with effects
I must be thick, because it seems to me like this should be easy to do, and yet I can't wrap my head around how to do it. Here's the issue. I record (and occasionally record live shows) using a Mackie Onyx 1640. I use the aux sends for separate (headphone) monitor mixes for several musicians (5). When tracking, the vocalists tell me they'd prefer to hear themselves with a little reverb.

Need help with metronome/monitoring situation
A friend of mine has need for a metronome to practice by and he needs a way to hear the metronome as well as what he is doing, which will be either electric or acoustic guitar. He doesn't have DAW capability and his budget is 'as cheap can be'. I suggested he use something with headphones but then he said he wouldn't be able to hear the acoustic guitar.
What are some options?
Push to talk mic circuit
Hello, I'm new to the forum and have a question for what I thought would be a simple project, but seems to be giving me a bit of grief.

Confidence Monitoring
Listening directly from the recording medium while recording is in progress, thus ensuring the source material is being recorded correctly. Used in high-end analog recorders and DAT machines, a secondary head reads the recorded material immediately behind the record head.

In ear monitor systems
I'm considering an upgrade for the live sound monitoring system that I run for my jazz and alt. country groups. In another thread Dvdhawk mentioned Hear Back, Aviom, & myMix as distribution systems. I can try out Hear Back locally. It would be helpful if some of you could compare it to some of the other systems.

In-Ear Monitoring System Help
Hey Guys,
I am looking for an inexpensive in ear solution. I have an idea but I am not sure if it would work.
Could I take the wire from my stage monitor and plug it into a headphone amp, and then just plugin my ear buds to that? I am not sure if it would overload the headphone amp.
