Yamaha HS50M
I am looking for a smaller, transparent pair of monitors. Since I am a fan of the ease of translation the NS10s provide, I figure I should stick with them, since they are affordable, and more practical for doing mixing in my apartment.

Setup and Monitoring help please
hey i have a big problem and am hoping you guys can help. i have a Yamaha MG24/14fx and am tring to route it to a presounus firepod. i was told (and have later found out to be false) that i could run a TRS cable halfway into the insert jack and it would become a "direct out" that runs the input through the fader and eq and back out the insert jack.

monitoring loops and live drums
Hi all. My band is a three piece (guitar, bass and drums) rock band, playing original music. Recently we've been recording some things using loops. The question I have is this...How could I best monitor the loops from behind the drums using headphones?

Need a PCI monitoring/activity meter software tool
Am having DESPERATE trouble with my Asus A8V causing pops and clicks as soon as I do very much. I'm looking for a tool that monitors the activity on the PCI bus. i.e. how busy it is when I'm running an arrangement. Pro Tools has one but I cant find any simple utitlity on the net that will do this. Anyone point me in the right direction?
Yamaha MSP5s vs. . HS50?
Right now the Resolv 80a's are waaayy to boomy and flabby to get accurate mixes in my oddly shaped room. I'm ditching them for something smaller, more accurate and able to be revealing at low volumes.
I'd like to stay within $500-700 for active monitors. Nothing larger than a 6.5 inch driver.

Choir Monitoring
The college I now work for is recording a choir of 20-25 people in its studio. The choir will be singing along to a backing track however, the studio does not have the monitoring outputs to provide separate headphone feeds for each person.

Monitoring question?
I hve my studio set up and am using a mixing desk as a level control between my soundcard and my monitors, i have rack preamps for my inputs so don't really have the need for a desk at all, my soundcard has no volume controls just jack outputs and my monitors have the gain controls on the back, so is there some kind of box that i can use for a volume control so i can get rid of the bulky mixing

Monitoring KRK x Yamaha
Hi Folks,
I'm looking for a new pair of monitors with a afordable price, for a second new room.
I already have a Yamaha MSP10 pair in the first room and like it a lot.
Well, searching in the net, I've saw the new HS80m from Yamaha and the KRK RP8 (Rokit).
Both are 8" and bi-amped, but KRK have 140w and HS80 120W.
