I am about to purchase a pair of monitors mainly for ensuring my home studio mixes sound good.

So feel free to giggle, I've been mixing on a pair of Design Acoustics (A former subsidiary of Audio-Technica ) with 6 inch Radio Shack woofers and the original tweeters (though the left is poked in resulting in a loss of some high-end , most notable in distorted guitars).

hey guys, i just picked up a pair of these. what is a good amp for a fair price that i could use to power these? I'm just using an mbox for the time being. would i be using the amp inbetween the speakers and the main outputs of the mbox? any help would be great

My current "monitoring" setup is a pair of Boston Acoustics CR8s hi-fi speakers and a Yamaha subwoofer. I get some translation issues with this system, especially in the upper mid-range.

I'm considering going with either a set of cheap monitors (under $500, was looking at MSP5s) or getting a pair of Avantone Mixcubes. I plan on leaving the BAs connected as well.

I'm looking to buy a second set of monitors beside my 1031A's and was thinking about one of these Yamaha's because they're cheap.
I have not yet compared these in the store, but reviews on both of them are surprisingly positive. What are the differences? And why are the MSP5's more expensive? Thanks.

I heard that somebody talk about posiblity of setup 2 pairs of Studio Monitor thru a Mixer (Control Room output and Master Output).

May i know do posible to setup 2 pairs of Studio Monitor with the below cheap Mixer?If yes, How do it control and switch each other when audition on Mixing stage?
