Yamaha NS-10T

I have recently picked up a pair of Yamaha NS-10Ts. I got a great deal on them, compared to NS-10Ms or NS-10S’ anyways, and am looking for a bit more information on them. Searching through the forum, I found a post from someone in a similar situation and they were told that the NS-10T is the home audio version of the NS-10.

Horrible noise through monitors when laptop is plugged in...

I have tried all different types of connections and I get horrible noise when the laptop is plugged in. I have tried plugging up stuff all over the studio, putting them on power grids, and what not. Is there anyway to get around this problem. I figure the converter is creating some crazy feedback.

Wharfedale 8.2 active monitors hiss when nothing playing?

Hi,
Upon several recommendations from this and other forums I bought a pair of Wharfdale 8.2 Diamond pro active monitor speakers.

Ive just plugged the power in, turned them on and without even plugging in a music cable yet I can hear a hiss (on 1/4 volume, which is quiet).

This is extremly frustrating, does anyone have any ideas why this may be happening?

JBL 4208 Near Field Monitors

Has anyone used this monitors. I wasn't able to find much information for these but I found them in a very good price. I used to mix on NS10 a lot. I'm mounting a small mixing/tracking room at home to do some of my ork and lo budget productions. Do you think this may ork?

I do mostly acoustical/jazz/fusion. Sometimes pop/rock too.

Do you think this will serve for a start.
