More screen, more screen, erk, my eyes aren't what they used to be. Anyone here using dual monitors, or do they prefer a larger flat screen for their DAW setup?

I have a dual card and am now wondering if I should get the second 22" or just buy a 32" TV.

I JUST bought my first pair of studio monitors..for years ive been mixing through nice reference headphones, and just a home stereo system. Ive had a lot of experience so its deffintly time for me to step it up. I have a pair of KRK ST6 2-Way Passive Studio Monitors, but i dont have an amp yet.. Any suggestions on what would work well with these?

I used the working cable and test on the monitors one at a time. Both monitors are working.

I am current running my mixes on a pair of event TR6's.

Moving to a new area next week, and am blessed with a much larger control room. Will need larger monitors to satisfy my far seated clients.

Was looking at the Samson Rubicon8's with a sub.

Choice is majorly limited here.

Advise please.

I don't understand the real purpose for recording monitors. I know it's for the producer to listen to the track, but why can't I just use regular speakers?

I finally got my new monitors set up. I need a new desk at some point, my Z-Rack w/t wood and end tables from a yard sale, are not big enough. Plus I need something that looks better. But this works for now. Now I have to learn them.

I recently became the proud owner of an enclosed server case along with some empty rack-mountable computer cases. So, I'm going to transfer the guts of my computer over to the one of the rack cases and mount that puppy into the server case.

It's time for me to upgrade my main monitor set-up (actually a pair of KRK RP8) in my control room.
I found my KRKs too much "plastic" and colored on certain frequencies (for example my solo piano recordings are very "unrealistic", hyped on treble and muffled on mid-low), even if they're very detailed.

Has anyone done or heard of such a technique? I was thinking of ways to brighten a mix and I thought about setting up two mics and pointing them at the tweeters and recording the entire mix just before mixdown. Maybe halfway between the tweeters and woofers for less bite.

anyone use them? know anything about them?

what do you think?
