I'm looking for small affordable but "HONEST" "near field /narrow" studio monitors with or without a sub for now.

hi, i was told to come here for advice.

I just got given some Tapco S5's for my birthday. I've got them running into an Mbox2. this works perfectly for use with Pro Tools, but the sound doesn't work for iTunes (it skips and lags) or any other application(no sound).

What can I do?

I'm looking into purchasing some and they can be obscenely expensive.
but I figure I should make it sound good on the cheap stuff and then it will sound good on everything.

so what do you think about the $150 monitors?

Ok, I have just bought into all the stuff on the adam a7 power monitors which if you you want to find bad reviews these days its easy for these they were almost impossible to find even then, minor quibbles. Ok, whats my quibble?

I listened to some in guitar center a couple weeks ago.. they sounded good to me, maybe a little bassy for my liking. After all they are for monitoring not listening.. ya kno? They were about $1000 a pair.. Anybody had any experience with these?

OK...so i wanted to somehow cheapley upgrade my monitoring situation. - i WAS using just some $70 Phillips computer speakers...i would also use an mp3 aux. in on a cheap boombox for monitoring also. hah.

will someone share the formula for one to go by to set up monitors without feedback because it amaze me to see on tv that a perfomer is standing right close to the monitors without feedback so this is my situation. now we have 6 monitor made by kustoms and I'm using qsc 1450 amp with Alesis firewire multimix 16 track and a Behringer ultragraph pro eq will somebody assist my situation?
