Recording Music Using a Multitrack Reel-to-Reel Tape Recorder
The subject of our next webinar, on aspects of tape and reel-to-reel recorders, is recording using a multitrack tape recorder. From 4 to 24 tracks tape is back in the studio, so we at Reel Resilience thought we'd better talk about it! More information about the webinar, who we are at Reel Resilience and how to book, can be found here.
iPad advice for multitrack recording
I am considering getting an iPad mostly for recording guitar.
My question, for those who multitrack on their iPads, What should I place more importance on...
The more powerful iPad Air (64gb) or the storage space of the regular iPad (128gb) ?
(Air/256gb and the Pros are out of my price range).
Will I just keep filling up the storage on a 64GB ?

Zoom F8 Multitrack Field Recorder
Zoom released this last year and want to know if anyone's made any recordings using it for music or video, and if so any thoughts on quality, functionability, pros and cons. Some of the reviews I've read are saying the pres are nearly if not "just as clean" as the Sound Devices 744T, and more than 4x less expensive than the SD.

On the Go MultiTrack Recorder for Android?
Anyone know of a good multitrack recorder for Android which you use? All I have is a basic idea recorder, single track, so I have to hum each part in a linear sequence. Makes it difficult to be creative when you listen to it that way so I'm looking for a good on the go four track or something so I can layer my ideas via humming/singing when I'm out and about.

Best way to quantise multitrack acoustic drums recordings
Hi Guys,
I'm kind of stuck with the new Audiosnap 2.0 of Sonar X3
It is suppose to allow to group the audio tracks transients so that the quantising stay phase coherent but I can't figure out the steps to achive that.
What's your better tool for quantising multitracks. (without manually move transients)
Advice for multitrack recording from Live rig
Hi,
Sorry, I am new here, but this seems like the correct forum to post this question.
I am currently doing live sound running a Yamaha 01v96v2. Attached to the mixing desk I have two Behringer AD3000 using ADAT.
In the past i've just recorded using 2 track from an aux or bus, but i am looking to do some proper multitrack recording and remixing after the act.
Light, easy multitrack player/DAW for playback only.
Hi.
Even with quite a bit of searching and head-scratching, I couldn't find a better suited sub-forum for this specific question so here goes.
If there's already a thread that adresses this problem of mine, please do not hesitate to kick me into that direction.
Tldr version first for Your convenience:
Multitrack Stems
Is there a place where I can find multitrack stems made from theoriginal multitrack master recordings (with individual parts includingindividual drum elements, bass, guitar, etc.) in .WAV files?
Can you find a company for multitrack stems? Can you go ask ANY label? Max

Multitrack Recording a Concert
Here's the deal, I want to record a live concert using multitrack recording. I need to know exactly what gear would be cheapest and best and how to set it up.
I have a Yamaha MG24 14FX and a PC with Pro Tools 8 on it.
I want to be able to go from the sound desk into whatever I need to and recorded through pro tools so I can do a post mix. At most, I'd only need 12 channels.
