Tube Mic Newbie
Forums
I have been recording in my home for the past 3 years, and I have accumulated a pretty good list of gear. The sound I am getting currently, I am pretty statisifed with, however I feel as if I could be getting more from the vocals. I just wanted some suggestions into the world of tubed mics.

Newbie Needs Direction
Forums
Hi All,
I'm new to this forum here though I've lurked for a couple weeks reading through posts. I used to be in a band and I would now like to record my songs.
I want to to build myself a nice setup to record 2 tracks at a time live, but be able to handle 12 tracks or so total. Ideally, the ability to record more tracks would be nice, but money is an object here.

Live Recording Newbie, where do I put the mics?
Forums
Hello:
My church group will be playing at a college gym with 1000+ people in attendance. I would like to get a "good" recording of our performances but have limited equipment and an even more limited budget. I have 2 Beheringer C-2 Condensor mics, and Alesis 8 track mixer and my laptop with firewire interface box running cubase.

pre-amp to soundcard newbie :) help appreciated!
Forums
Hey, I recently jumped into the recording scene after playing guitar for about 4 years. I was on a budget so I purchased the MXL 990/991 kit and M-audio buddy pre-amp. However, I am at a total loss with what cables I need and how to hook it up! I have tried other forums for help but they weren't very helpful. Here's the situation.
