hey everyone. please dont laugh at my question but I'm really trying to teach myself a lot about recording. With graphic eqs i understand the concept, but with a paremetric eq, it doesnt seem like you have as much options yet seems to be the favored choice in top of the line recording.

ok, i am getting ready to buy a boss br-1600CD digital studio.

i would like to make pretty damn good sounding recordings, is this capable of doing this? should i or could i transfer the recorded files to the computer and put the finishing touches on that way? if so, what programs would give me the best desired result?

or should i go down a different path altogether?

How do I hook the A2D up to bypass the maudio converters and pres and clock things to the A2D?

I have looked through several topics in this forum and found many helpful tips, suggestions and guidelines. So far I have followed some basic steps but I am afraid I need a little guidance from experienced or knowledgeable users.

I want to keep things simple - probably one of the reasons I play acoustic (guitar and mandolin). I want to be able to have a Fostex-like device that will allow me to experiment musically at home and accompany myself on one instrument, while I am playing back another previously laid down track. Simple enough.

I get a kinda annoying problem with my Lexicon Lambda card. If I have Cubase running, i cant play songs in winamp.
It would be nice if I could take a break and listen to some music, without exiting cubase.
Anyone knows how to do this?
