When I'm adding plugins and previewing, the volume plays at a normal level, but when I go to the main screen, the volume is really low, and I have to keep the left mouse button pressed down to get it to play back loud enough to hear.
I want to playback while recording another track over top. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? :?

Is anyone familiar with SAWStudio? I keep hearing great things about how it is more stable and somehow sounds better than any other software package. One thing is for sure: it's really, really expensive.

I'm tryin to slave reason, but when i slave it, i dont hear the notes being played, unless i record them and then press play, how do u get the midi to play out?

yes need import songs in audio format (Audio tracks, No midi), created in Nuendo 1.52, and open it in Cubase SX 1.0.6.

I'm planning on building a PC and eventually running a Nuendo Setup on it, as I am currently running PTLE and am not happy with it.

But I'm not sure what interface to get for Nuendo.

Here's a discussion I would love to see. Say you have $4000 to buy the software and A/D/D/A interface for a new DAW you are building, you want it to be as professional as possible, perhaps even a level above project studio.

So obviously you can't afford Pro Tools HD, only LE. I would really like to know two things,

Question 1:

Which software do you choose and why?

My VST instruments are about 20ms ahead on playback.
I'm pretty sure that the MIDI data is being recorded ahead of target.

I tried:
Device Setup->
VST Multitrack->
Expert->
"adjust for record latency" is checked. Altering the "Record Placement Offset" value seems to have no effect at all.
