Mixer PAN problem

I have a problem with the Behringer UB802 Eurorack. Whenver I turn the knob on PAN all the way to right, the microphones will not pick up any sound, and this happens on both Mic plugs. It only works when the knob is in the middle or all the way to the left.

I'm pretty sure it worked before, and now it doesn't
What seems to be the problem? Thanks

Help on a project panning parts etc... open for suggestions

My situation

How do you get audio to sound pro studio CD ready quality. I do the mixing right, i play all the parts right, and I master with all the best plugins, but then i have noise issues and problems hearing other parts in the mix I need help with panning these parts and/or using some of these plugging s i have to touch it up to sound great

Panning question

Hi everyone. This will be another newbie question but can anyone tell me what significance panning has in the recording process? There was this sound engineer guy I talked to once who said I need to pan a channel all the way to the left or right prior to recording a track. Does this really matter? If this is indeed the case, why?

Frequency Panning?

How do the pros get that perfect master with what seems like an emphasis on deep bass + highs on the left and mid bass + mids on the right? And I know this is a mastering forum but does anyone have any advanced panning techniques especially regarding different frequencies and effects

Thanks,
Ryan Chamberlain

Panning & Levels?

I have a level issue...I'm monitoring through a Mackie 1604 --2 channel stereo panned hard right n left. I seem to be getting more level out of the left side due 2 the meter running hotter...I've check all gain structure from my Mac running DP to my individual trim on the MAckie & master faders...all equal. If I even out the panning to straight up, all levels are even?
