Panning Issue

I have recorded drums into Cubase VST 5.1 via my M-Audio 1010, upon trying to mix these drums i find i am unable to pan. The snare, for instance, is on channel1, which is The Cards 1L Input. It is currently hard left, but when i move the pan control to the right the sound disappears.

Vocal/Panning/effects

I recently went to a local studio out here in Tampa (Deep Productions) and what I noticed is that when the RE recording vocals (4 hip hop) he had the artist do two vocal runs. He was able to place the 2nd run behind the lead, and thickin it up, but really without you hearing the difference in the tracks. in other words... if the words didn't exactly line up you couldn't really tell.

Panning always failing.

I am using dell dimension8200 windowsXP,512MB,80HD,2.0GHz,e-mu1212m soundcard,CubasisVST4.0.This also happens in my other recording program N-track.And this is an ongoing problem.I will be working on a song and the panning in the VST channel mixer of cubasisVST4.0 will stop working, fail completely.I will be going back and forth from recording to listening and panning after i lay a new track to

Panning and Bouncing in Boss br-864

Here is my issue. In mixing 8 tracks down to 2 to put on my PC, I have to bounce them together. For my 2 guitar tracks I want one hard left and the other hard right (it sounds amazing in regular playback), but when bouncing them together, I cannot get that. Is there a way to keep the great panning job in bouncing to keep the stereo sound even if I bounce 8 tracks down to 2?

Spacing and Panning Omni Main Pair

Having used ORTF cardioids as my main pair for a couple of years, I would like to try omni microphones in a spaced A-B pair configuration. I’m hoping to get a fuller sound. The chamber ensemble I record gives concerts where the size of the ensemble varies from piece to piece – from trios on up to baroque orchestras of a dozen or so musicians – all on the same concert.
