Hi all, complete beginner at recording, here. I kind of need everything :/
Nano Piano line level and cables
I wasn't sure where to put this as the Nano is a synth.
I'm trying to find out if the Nano Piano can take balanced cables, and and if not, would it be better to use consumer or -10 line level as the hardware input level for my sound card?

piano recording
I need your opinion. Various studios here record classical grand piano using 6 dpa mics inside the piano through mls eq, Gordon, preamps and Apogeead. However the sound is unearthly. I,have used 2 oktavas from 1 feet distance from the end of the grand via RMEbabyface and I have achieved much fuller lifelike sound. Your opinions?

Recording a TOY piano...seriously
I've read many threads about best practices when recording grand and upright pianos but my client next week is a musical cast which involves a toy piano on some songs. Ya know, the kind you buy a kid to dink around on? I didn't see anything in here specific to TOY pianos and wanted to ask if anyone had some experience with it.

How do I make a piano recording sound like this?
What do I need to do to get my piano recordings to sound more like this?
Recording piano and mic positions
What do you think about the following recording? I've been trying different mic positions and so far, this sounds the best to my ears. I put the mics inside the piano right next to the hammer line and shut the lid. The mics are Earthworks SR30's. I used an Emu 0404 USB preamp and A/D converter. The recording is hot off the mic with no sound processing.

record a piano, Omnis and MS
Hi. This my first post here. Greetings to all forum members.
I have two plans to record a piano. The first is a recording with two omnidirectional microphones with an AB spaced pair (noc -1 wav) 1,50 mt until piano . The second is the same with an MS pair in the center of the piano, close to the harp, about 0.35 mt (noc -2 wav).

Advice on DAW for digital piano/sound module combination.
I'm not sure what section this should go in so I'm posting here.
I have a Roland RD700SX digital piano and a Ketron SD1000 sound module.I need to have software and the hardware to run it.I want to connect them up together via USB.At the moment the piano and module are connected by Midi cable from Piano Out to Midi In (module),with dual RCA's L-R to Tascam digital recorder.
