AKG 451 vs. Beyer 160 OR Schoeps vs. Coles 4038 for classical piano?
I prefer the 160s to the 451, but I don't like either that much for solo piano. I can post examples of my test recordings.
Good Budget Stereo Mic for Recording Piano
I have a quick question for someone who may have some suggestions or knowledge in this area. I have been playing piano for a while and I would like to start recording my playing. I would like to say this: I am not looking to set up a home recording studio, at least not now; I would have no room anyway, most of it is taken up by the upright piano itself.

recording audition tapes for cellist +/-piano
My son is a cellist getting into the advanced student range. My videography and sound recording have not kept pace! My 13 year old daughter once again. Piano and room aren't the best but what do you think of the Lavry's with the DPA's?

piano bleed into choir mics
I recorded a children's choir concert today. The space was a large church with a lot of ambience (4 sec. reverb) Two suspended overhead mics were used to capture the choir sound. Unfortunately the piano was in close proximity to these mics, underneath and in front of the conductor and choir. The lid was closed.

Recording Piano in my Home
Working on my chops to record a piano in a small room with not the best acoustics. I'd love your opinion.
I grabbed my daughter while practicing a lesson just now, put up the DPA 4011 in ORTF and hit play. Please, How does this sound to you, am I getting close to good?

Recording with a digital piano
Hey guys,
I'm very new to recording, and I wanted to start making piano videos for my youtube channel.
I have a Roland digital piano (HP-3E-PE) and very soon I am getting a new computer with an internal soundcard,as my laptop doesn't have one.
