looking for a decent headphone preamp that myself and two friends can use. i am looking at the following items from musiciansfriend:

Behringer HA4700 Powerplay Pro

PreSonus HP4 Discrete 4-Channel Headphone

Nady HPA-4 Headphone Amp

does anyone have experience with these or can you recommend a headphone preamp for 3-4 users?

like last time with the mic closet, the Alice, Kel HM-1 and lawson L47mp all compliment my collection wonderfully! (i'm never gonna give in and get a Neumann), now only a Royer and an RCA are missing.

I know you guys are tired of Vintech posts but please help me out..

I've been looking in on buying a preamp for some time now
(mostly to track my music and for vocal recordings in the future)
and I've decided that Vintech is the way to go...

What I'm looking for is a nice clean preamp and have been going nuts over the possibilities for my scenario. I have some assorted mics but my primary vocal tracking mic is a RODE K2 that I want to strictly "capture". I've been using the onboard preamps on my aging Yamaha 01V (no inserts, have ADAT & S/PDIF in/out) that seem quite limited in regards to headroom, resolution and punch.

I'm an R&B vocalist described as having a clear 1st Tenor crooner type voice (good low range too). I'm looking to upgrade my current Studio Projects C1 mic to a U87. For mic preamps I currently have an Avalon M5, RME Fireface 800 (mic preamps on it), and an ART Tube MP.

The Octane's dB meters shows the signal to be around
-20 to -10 dB but the Pro Tools input meter shows it clipping badly.

And, listening to it, it is clipping badly.

I have to keep the signal at -20dB or below on the Octane's front panel to avoid clipping within Pro Tools.
