I'm sure these threads are common, but I'm new here and wanted to get some opinions.

I am looking into a DAW with as good sound quality as possible.

I like what I see about the Pro Tools Digi 002 system and that's what I'm leaning towards right now.

Gigastudio Compatible with Protools?

I need to know if ReWire will allow Tascam's Gigastudio 3 Solo to work with Protools. I was told by someone that they thought gigastudio was a stand alone sampler.

I need an answer before I buy-

:? ok. I am a newbie and I am getting a basic grasp of my hardware and software. I am using the Mbox and recording using the Music XPC C1 (win XPhome) . I have been setting up sessions using Redrum, and Guitar and Synths.

recorded pro tools 48khz session with clock at 44.1 khz

i recorded a session the other day in pro tools at 48 khz. the problem was, the clock was set to 44.1 khz and now i have 44.1 khz files that play back at 48 khz (so they sound sped up - faster and higher in pitch).

We're about to buy an HD3 Accel setup to run on PC. I'm trying to get some information on which motherboards people are successfully using for this kind of rig.

What do you think the must have plugins are?

I have the free Bomb factory set nice little things but nothing really useful.

Diamond Plat 5.0. Nice set but somehow I don;t feel it's worth the cost.

Looking into geting some drums and the full set of Bomb factory.

Change speed and pitch in Pro Tools?

I've got a Digi 002 and I want to use this piece of sampled music as an intro for my band when we play live. I already imported it in Pro Tools and spliced it up the way I want it. Here's my problem, I need to slow it down slightly to match the speed of our first song, and I also need to bump it up a half step in pitch. Anybody know how I can accomplish this?

Pro Tools Sync Question

Help! I'm working on an animated film at the moment, and have already recorded the music soundtrack on 8 tracks of my Roland VS 840 EX. I also have the films voice-over track and now want to compile every thing together, and add sound effects, all synced to picture. The problem that I have is that I cannot seem to get my Pro Tools LE to correctly sync to the VS 840.
