question with punch ins for Pro Tools and Nuendo?
Well i'm starting the long process with A-Bing my current Nuendo system with a Digi002 Pro Tools LE system and I run across something that is rather interesting. In Nuendo when I want to do a punch in I just set the point where I want it to occur and then hit the button to initialize the punch point and when I hit play I can hear the music in my headphones AND my guitar playing over it.
punch on the fly in logic pro
hi there!
I'm using Logic Pro 7.2 on a G5 Dual PPC via DAE (Pro Tools HD7.3).
I always used punch on the fly without any problems.
Suddenly I have session where Punch in/out doesn't work anymore.
Does anyone know this problem or know how to solve it?
regards

Getting a "tight/punchy" bass recording
A friend of our guitarist recorded our band awhile ago. He gave us a mastered version, and I didnt like at all what he did with my bass.

My drums need punch ! - But !...
... when adding more volume they become unpleasant to listen to, they nearly hurt tin my ears, but when i lower them, they are in some way disappearing in the overall mix. It's like i need to get the drums away from the speakers, so that they are more distant but with more power...
Maybe removing some edgy frequencies would do the trick ?
I really hope i make sense !

Tips for clean punch-ins punch-outs
Or does it just take a lot of practice? I recorded this guy last night and after he was done with his takes he would say, "i didn't like a couple bars in the bridge/chorus/whatever." I would go back and delete the section as clean as I could and then punch in record and punch out, but I had a lot of trouble getting some of it clean.

what the dance music needs to sound punchy?
hello,
i'm working with synthetic basslines and kick drum making techno music.
i have used to work with plugins to compress the bassline and kick but i would like to invest a money in some good sounding compressor (limiter) and make my basslines and kicks sounding better. i mean analog and punchy.

getting drums to punch through mix
I get the sense that I'm drowning out my kicks and snare in my mixes.
I try to raise the level of the kick, but when it does punch through the mix, it's too overpowering and I can't make sense of where the level should be so it's enough, but not too much.

Sounding Punchy on the Radio
Hi
I'm trying to get into making radio ads. The only thing that worries me is how much compression to use to make my productions sound punchy but without the radio stations compressors squashing the life out of it.
Cheers Liam
