Quick questions (ASAP!) - PreSonus DIGIMAX LT

I record into a Delta 1010 (8 inputs and A/D converters). For the past while I have been using an old SM/Nady PR8 8 preamp unit. It currently retails for the bottom dollar price of $100 USD. As you can no doubt imagine, the effect has been less than stellar.

As a result, I am thinking of picking up a PreSonus Digimax LT.

i need a quick answer

does the recording program make a difference on how the music sounds?

because i used two programs sound forge xp and then i used a regular windows sound recorder and i like how the cheaper sound recorder sounds better then the sound forge. .why does it sound different when its the same voice?which one will i sound like when i use a actual mic in the concert?

need very quick help!

Hi, i am recording a couple demos for my band and so far everything sounds great but when we started tracking some vocals it sounds like the vocals are completely isolated from the recording. it sounds like its a different song or is being sung from a different room.
i am using
and MXL 990 condenser mic through an MBOX2.

any quick advice to get a decent sound?

Help quick! Multiple time signatures + other troubles...

I'm recording my band, and we basically started off today with experimenting with microphones and placement trying to get the correct drum sound. I always messed around with some EQ and compressing, just to see what I can do with drums, since I've recorded before, but not with actual drums. I used two overheads which are actually tom mics but they sound okay with the right amount of work.
