OK, in an hour or two I am leaving to get a new set of monitors, and I always make mistakes on my gear because I am impatient. I was at the store the other night testing out roket 5's, and tapco s5's. I want to know how good the s5's compare. They sounded fantastic when testing them, and I could not really tell the difference between them and the rockets.

say I was close Micing drums, and had a total of 8 mics including over heads. How would I record that with an 002 since it only has 4 inputs?

I just did a quick and dirty comparison of a mic I was considering buying for studio - the BCM104. I was attracted to it because it uses the 04 capsule which is used in the Solution D - a very expensive mic - while the BCM104 is well below 1000. It was made for broadcast and those are often good studio mics (look at the PL20, RE20 etc).

I was thinking to do it with just a couple of microphones, but since yesterday I know that the pianist will play some solo pieces also, so my question is: what would be your approach to set up the mics?

I got a firepod and bought a new laptop (my old one didnt work with it) so I can record my shows.. Its just me and my guitar. It was a quick recording, live 1 take in my computer room, so quality may not be that good. Theres probably a mistake or two in there too, i just wrote the song this week.

allright. have pro tools le 6.4 on my mac tiger system. to have pro tools run on tiger, i need 6.9.2. can someone give me a link to uprgrade to 6.9 or something along those lines? just tell me what i need to do to get pro tools running on my tiger based system. thank u
