what software to edit tracks from my hard disk recorder?

hi. i record onto a Yamaha aw4416 hard disk recorder and love it except for the limited editing capabilities. instead of switching over to a computer based system and losing the tactile interface and ease of use, i was thinking about transfering tracks (as wav files) to my laptop for editing. i won't need to track, use plugins or anything beyond fixing a timing mistake here and there.

Suggestions: Decent CD Recorder for rehearsals...

Hi,

I was wondering if anybody had some suggestions for a decent CD recorder that can be used to record practice sessions. it would probably need to be dual deck or atleast have the ability to duplicate discs fairly quickly for multiple people. and of course, money is an object.

Tape recorder also can be used for data backup?

they say that Terry date who produced successful CDs of limp bizkit, deftones etc... used tape for recording or tracking.

therefore i was interested in tape recording.
but i am absolutely novice about tape recording..therefore i didn't buy any tape recorder...
BTW i found the following link... the element is that magnetic tapes is better store format than burned CD

Need microphone suggestions for RecorderMan method

Forums

Hi.. I'm new here! Came here via a link to the RecorderMan method thread. Just starting out with this whole home recording studio thing, and I'd like to try out the RecorderMan method on my drums. But I need some suggestions for some microphones. I need a pair of microphones that I can use for both overhead, and later for close Micing the snare/kick drum. (I only have two inputs).
