Help me set up my Drum recording chain etc..

Preramble: I have been primarily using drum samples in my recordings and am looking to make the next big step to recording a full acoustic set. I currently have a home studio located where else, the basement, and have quickly figured out that a dead room isn’t always ideal, especially when it comes to drums.

Recording Jazz Trio, Grand Piano, Drums, Upright Bass.

Dear Engineers,

We are trying to record our jazz trio inside a small ..13'x19'x9' room.

looking at everything from the front, it's just like a 13x19 stage and if you are on the audience side looking at the stage, here how we are set up in the room:

Grand Piano on the left , Drums in the center, Upright Bass on the right

Recording drums: mono vs stereo

hi i was wondering if u can help a newbie like me in recording drums. my question is I'm looking to make a dance song i know kick drum, bass, snare should be mono when recorded but I'm clueless about toms, hi-hats, and crash cymbals should they be recorded mono or stereo. if I'm right at the final mix down the whole drum kit should be stereo correct me if I'm wrong.

Recording drums in sections?

I am running a Digi 003 with a MBP and basically wanted to get some techniques on recording drums in sections, then putting them together for a final mix. I can play drums, but to play a song from start to finish to a click track would be nearly impossible. I am going to be playing the drums, as well as using the computer, so I guess you could say I am flying solo on this one.

Live drums on your recordings!

Hi!

My name is Micke, I am a drummer and I also own a studio. I would like to help you by adding well recorded drums to your songs. I will do it for free as long it's a demo or no budget involved. Mainly I do this because I think it's a nice way to meet new people in the world of music.

Need Drum Recording / Room Treatment Advice

I recently purchased two AT3035's to mic drums and vocals mainly. I also have two sm57's. What would be the best way to distribute these mics over the kit. i was thinking of using the 57's as overheads... one at3035 on the kick and one on the snare? obviously the at3035's would be better overheads.
