reverse reverb for the snare...
k... i was always wondering how to get that "whip crack" reverse buildup technique for the snare drum, like they used in 80's rock songs. Well, after experimenting for a bit i have it pretty much down. This is has probably been discussed previously, and I'm not sure how most people have accomplished it, so i apologize in advance, but this is the most logical method I could think of:

Is outboard reverb *really* better than plugins?
I've been told that outboard reverb is better than even the best plugins. But is it *that* much better? If I spend $2,500 on a t.c. electronics Reverb 4000, for example, will it sound a lot better than the best plugin reverbs (like Waves, for example)?
TC Electronic Reverb 4000 vs. . Lexicon PCM 91
I'm looking for a reverb processor, mostly for vocals and acoustic guitar. Has anyone had experience with these two models? How would they compare?
Are there any other options that I should also be considering?
Thanks in advance.

Reverb in Master Track?
So I'm trying to get a final sound pre-mastering. I've been listening to a lot of different albums to see what they've done. Now I know that there's no exact way to mix and there's a lot that goes into it but I feel I'm at a pretty good place with the mix. My question is how much, if any, reverb you all put on the whole project (in the master track)?

Newbie - Mastering LIVE recording - echo, reverb, bass issue
Greetings,
Through a friend's suggestion, I have found my way to this forum to get a push in the right direction toward "cleaning-up / re-mastering" a LIVE U2 show that was recorded in the old Seattle Superdome. This venue is (was) a MASSIVE concrete structure, made for baseball and not a rock show. As a result, there is much "room noise" and "reverb / echo" present.
Convolution Reverb for Live orchestra recording
I need help choosig the appropriate Software Reverb to add a hall convolution to a recorded orchestra on 10 channels and 1 stereo microphone (the listener). The end result will be in Stereo.
