Best gear to connect spring reverb into line-level patchbay?
I have a very nice spring reverb that I use between my guitar and my guitar amp. I would like to connect it to my studio patchbays and use it during mixdown.
It is a tube buffered unit...to be specific, a Dumblelator-type circuit with the reverb hard-wired into its effects loop.
Reverb! Post your best tips for getting the most out of reverb.
I just purchased a Lexicon PCM70. This is my first nice digital reverb that I've ever owned. I've had a day and a half mixing with it and while it is an incredible reverb I have quickly realized that I could easily recreate the 80's with this. I've been using room mic's, spring reverbs, tape delays, Daw delay, self made chambers etc. to cover ambience duties until now.
How to user reverb on fake double-tracking guitar
HI everyone,
This is my first question here.
I want to record heavy guitar with sm57 (very dry recording ) in front of my amp.
I will copy the original track and delay it a little bit to create a fatter tone, hard panned right/left (fake double-tracking).
Lexicon Reverb
I heard this plugin is really good, but I'm hard pressed to shell out $1500 for the full PCM version. Just wondering what I would be missing out on if I just got the LXP version...

Using the stop button as a way to preview reverb?
It seems that when I hit the stop button in Cubase, the track stops, but the reverb actually continues on momentarily, as if the stop function has no effect. What exactly is going on here, and is this an effective way to preview reverb by itself (since otherwise it is masked to a great degree by the music)?
Adding reverb at the mastering stage?
Is reverb ever added at the mastering stage? If so, is it a common thing? If it is something that is done, is there any compelling reason to leave the mix dry until mastering?

Using hardware Reverb! Help PLS!
A few months ago I purchased a Lexicon reverb unit. It's sound is exactly what I want in reverb, it's perfect for my music. The problem is that my mixing environment is digital ("in the box"), and I can't apply the Lexicon reverb to every intrument the way I do inside Cubase.

General principles of applying reverb and compression- Stereo bus, or tracks?
I am puzzled about where I should be applying my effects, and whether there is any detrimental effect to summing effects in serial. Let's say I have guitar, bass, and drum tracks, and that they benefit from some processing. Should I be treating them individually, say by soloing the track and adding effects there, or should I be adding reverb and compression to all of them in the stereo bus?
reverb on lead vocals ?
Im experimenting on some lead vocals and have 2 reverbs on buses . 1 bus has a smaller reverb which is set to
the same level throughout the song. The 2-bus has a bigger space reverb and I have been riding this one
and bringing it in on the end of some words and phrases.
Is this a standard use of reverb on lead vocals?
