I currently have an RME/Nuendo 8 i/o interface (48khz) going into a 002rack. I also use a Universal audio 2108 pre and I have 2 Avalon U5 DI's that I use for keyboards, Rhodes piano, and bass guitar.

New DAW for me, yay.
I have no software yet.
I did install an RME hdsp9632 snd card with newest drivers and firmware. The analog i/o's ARE sending and receiving info thru my outboard sound system, but will not be recognized by 'Windows Media Player' when the RME is set as the default device .
Mobo audio does work(cannot patch either CD drives thru RME).

Opinions on the RME Hammerfall Series Digi9652?
Quality? Pitfalls? Thanks

I'm looking to get a new audio card soon, and I have read a lot of reviews. Many say Lynx has the best converters that don't come in an external box. Anyone out there using Lynx cards?

How stable and efficient are their Mac drivers?
Do they cooperate with PCI ATA controller cards?
How much better is an external A/D/A like the Rosetta 800?

I'm looking to upgrade my gear and in the process some people suggested that I also upgrade my converters and interface. A couple guys suggested either a MOTU 828mkII or an RME Multiface. What do you guys suggest? Which is better? Opinionsor other options? Also, I usually record alone and I have just four channels right now, so I won't be needing anything with more than 8 or 10.

Does anyone knows something about RME converters?
Are they good? I'm looking for a converter with good quality, but I can't afford an Apogee.

I'm planning a Upgrade of Converters and Pres from my existing Aardvark 24/96 setup. I'd like Expandability for the future. Start w/ 8 I/O and 16 in the future.

Hey all, who wins in a nock down drag out? I know its not a fair comparison since 1 has more Ins and outs and is more expensive but all I need is 8 TRS ins 2 TRS outs and I'm happy. So I guess the question is how the 1010s converters stack up. Also another question for you.. Is it possible to mix in Pro Tools even when tracking with another software using either of these converters. thanks

Hi all I'm looking for a new Sound card option I currently have the MOTU 1224 which is ok but only suports 48 sample rate.

Im looking for 8 TRS analog inputs at 96 khtz. I want to begin at mixing DVD material and also improve my all audio creations.
