Apogee MiniME vs. . RME Fireface 800
Hello,
I'm very interessted to record in good quality a piano with a matched pair of KM184. I need only 2 channels, no D/A, no Midi - only good piano sound. My laptop: Centrino 1,5 XP, USB and Firewire Input.

RME products DIGI9652 and OCTAMIC-D
I know there has been much said on their products, but I wondering about there new DIGI9652 card and their Octamic-D. How does it compare to others. Is there a better way to get good sounding microphone preamps and 36 channels of recording into a computer? Mind you this is for a mobile rig and is designed to be mixed down later.

DP 4.5 w/ UAD and RME or Logic Pro w/ Mbox?
So I have read through hundreds of posts on this board as well as researched across the web for days on end (literally) and I have come to narrow down my new DAW system to the following systems.

New to MAC, Which Is Best - DP 4.5/RME vs. . Logic Pro7/MBox

My 12years old 16bit converters sound better than RME...why?
How is it possible?
I have an ensoniq sampler from 1993 (asr10) which sounds MUCH better than my RME multiface.
And it is not because coloration or distortion, it simply sounds more "in front", a little bit smoother and warmer and fatter.
I made some tests recording both simple sinus tones and some very fat sounds from my old arp synthesiser.
MOTU or RME?
I've been looking at new interfaces. I have a Tascam FW1884, but am looking around for a better sounding interface. MOTU or RME?

RME ADI-2 Connected to an M-Box?
Can I run my RME ADI-2 using my M-Box as the soundcard? And if so, does anyone have any thoughts about the pros/cons - i.e. does the M-Box suck as a soundcard? Also, not to sound completely ignorant, but would that just be a SPDIF connection between the two? Many thanks for your help.

Trouble with Nuendo and RME Fireface.
I am having clocking troubles with Nuendo and my RME fireface and i am hoping that someone might be able to help. I previously used the fireface with Cubase and had no problems but recently upgraded to Nuendo 2 and bought a Digimax 96k preamp. When i installed the Nuendo and hooked up the Digimax via lightpipe and BNC, i started having clocking issues (clicks and pops).
