I have a friend who uses a Roland A-90 controller, which also has a few onboard sounds.
I heard one of it's Rhodes patches, called 'Stage Rhodes' and it sounds absolutely beautiful. Very warm, rich, just like '73.

i'm currently doing my first steps into synthies and midi in general.

I have an opertunity to purchase a d50 for 300usd with case. it apears to be in excellent shape. i have not had a chance to play it yet. my questions is can i plug it directly into my comp.? i have only a sound blaster live card on my system but plan to expand.

This board didn't get a lot of exposure in the industry to start off with, I guess due to the success of the VS series of digital studio workstations.

Just wondering if people familiar with these machines (or spec's in the Akai case) think it is worth the wait (December/January last I heard) for the Akai, which will also list for about $1,000 more than the Roland. Thanks. Bosbuff

Owned computers for 17 years, playing music for 11 years, and for some reason never mixed the two till this year. The Roland Studio Pack looks quite attractive but I have not read to much good press on Emagic. Any users of this system here? Your input would be great.

I have been using ROland for 3 years and may go up to the new 24 track this month...total investment is about $ 3800...
I have 2 effects units, mic preamps etc. how does the Radar compare to the Roland? I suspect it is more money...thanks in advance!
