I searched and found some really good posts. However, I would like to get a bit of specific advice before I shell out on a job lot of cables and was wondering if some of you could impart some wisdom regarding balanced/unbalanced/stereo jacks? The following are things I think I know mixed with a question or two so please chip in where needed. Please!

is it possible to use a midi controller(keyboard) with 2 instrument tracks simultaneously in pro tools?
or maybe even more... 2 midi controller each connected to an own instrument track(also simultaneously)?
realy need to know this and would appreciate every advice!

I picked up a Yamaha MJC8 for next to nothing the other day and quickly set about integrating it into my bedroom studio;

15" MacBook Pro 2Ghz 2Gb Ram running Logic, Bidule mainly
Echo AudioFire 4
M-Audio Uno 1x1 USB MIDI interface

I have a Motif rack, a Korg ms2000 rack, a Nord lead synth, a Yamaha an1x and an Akai mpc1000. Im trying to run it all into Pro Tools through my digi002. There are 2 midi outs and 1 midi in. What id like to do is have input from the Nord, An1x and Akai into the 002. Is that possible with only 1 input?

Hi, I have a Soundcraft Ghost 24 and a MOTU 24i/0 and a pc running sonar. When I route 24 channels from Sonar to the ghost and then want to record the mix down I can't find out the best way to do this.

How about the quality of sound when tranferring wave files by wireless router between 2 computers in same residence? Is this a bad idea?
