Audio Engineer education?

Hi!

I'm looking around for some education or course to lift my mixing skills a notch. I'm not a beginner in the area, I've been working as a pro and produced records for 6 years. But I feel I wanna enhance the mixing.

All courses I've seen are quite basic. Does anyone have an idea?
I've looked on SAE etc. I don't want any online courses.

cheers!

Guitar Amp Speaker

Hey, this isn't exactly a recording question but how do you go about changing a blown speaker from an amp? I have an old Carvin amp and I wanted to put an Eminence speaker in there. The amp says 100 Watts on it, but I dont know if thats RMS or Peak, and even if I knew, Im not sure what the rules are. Will a 75W RMS, 150W Peak speaker work on this? Thanks.

My quest for new monitors

Please pardon a potentially lengthy post.

I have been searching for a while now for new monitors for mastering. I enjoy my NHTs, but I find them to be a tad forward in the upper register, translating into fatiguing sound after a few hours of working on them. Also, they are phenomenal at sane levels, but when pushed, they tend to compress.

Top Audio Engineering School?

hello, my name is Ben Christy and I am 16. I am currently very interested in attending a school with a very successful audio engineering program. I'm sure this topic could be controvercial, but I was just wondering what schools are the top for audio engineering. For example like the "Harvard" of audio engineering?

Thanks
Ben
