One of my friends in china is graduating from University with a recording major in china,and is looking for a graduate school with the same major in U.S.A. to go .

I have a Harrison 2824 Analog Recording Console, it is of the hand built series I bellive the serial number is "70". The preamps on each channel strip are beyond comparison, IMHO better than anything the honorable Rupert Neve has produced. Refurbishing the power supply has been a ehh ... enjoyable ...

I will be recording a grade-school choir next week, and am limited to only four mic preamps, as I will be recording through a 002 using my laptop. I plan on using a Royer SF-12 for the choir. I have a few questions:
Does the 002 have enough gain to accomodate the SF-12?

Hello all. I'm new here and glad I found this forum. I was wondering if anyone out there has any info on the techniques/equipment/mics that Nicko McBrain used in the Piece of Mind sessions. I read an article years ago in which he described in great detail how they achieved the drum sound (which I think is amazing) on that album, but I have no idea what happened to it.

I've spent 5,000 on courses, worked slave labor for internship scams, recorded locals for training, use Pro Tools at home, enrolling in pro tools certification courses, and helped produce local folk who needed a creative hand.

Yet... I can't find a job in audio recording/production.

Hello, I have been recording for about 3 years now with a Pro Tools setup but feel that I've run into a brick wall. Can you guys recommend any Trade Schools or some place of instruction for Recording and Engineering in the LA area? Thanks--

Does anyone know anything about IPR...(Institute of Production and Recording) in Minnesota? The production program sounds a lot more up my alley becuase it's more 'producer driven' than engineer driven. But it's a relatively new program and I don't wanna be a frozen guinea pig in vein.

What is the best recording school out there... I mean like the harvard of recording schools?
