TRS Balanced and TRS Stereo Signal - Are They Wired The Same?
Hi all - I know the difference between a monaural TRS cable that is used for hum-cancelling balanced line, and a stereo TRS cable that carries two separate L and R signals - my question is, are the cables and connectors themselves one and the same thing?
Drums signal level too hot!
I am trying to obtain a signal level of -20dBFS to -12dBFS at the input channel on Cubase 5, using the Focusrite Octopre Dynamic MkII mic preamp . The problem that I am having is with the recording of the drum tracks. The signal level that I am getting at the input bus is -1dBFS to -3dBFS even though my gains are set at zero on the mic preamp.

Confusion about hooking up signal processors.
I recently bought a bunch of things for my recording studio including, an antares avp-1, Focus rite ISA one, and an ART VLA II tube compressor. I have a 48 point patchbayin which I have the aux sends and returns from my Alesis multimix16 as well as the outs and ins from all above said unit connected to.
What's the best way to run a long signal from a head amp to an isobox cabinet?
Hey guys, I recently build an isobox for my speaker cabinet so I can crank my tube amp without disturbing the neighbors too much the head amp I've been using it's most of the times just a couple of inches away from the isobox but now I want to move the head to where my control room is at witch is considerably a long distance.
Signal Loss During Mixdown. Has This Happened To You?
I have Sonar 8.5, it's my DAW of choice and I love it. To me it's the most comprehensive & complete recording software available for PC.

Signal Level Squelch
Receiver squelch (muting) that is based on RF signal strength present at the receiver input. When the RF signal is considered high enough to output audio of acceptable quality, the receiver is un-muted.
