Best Recording Software?
I currently use Cubase and plan to upgrade to Cubase SX. I follow many other forums on computer recording and many are biased to a certain software.

Analyzing software
I use Pro Tools LE on a Mac. I've been using both Waves PAZ and the Ionizer Demo to analyze good sounding commercial CDs.
It's my belief that the clairty and extra loudness of a commercial CD has to do with what is taken out.
My mixes sound fine, but they don't approach the loudness of a commercial CD.
What analyzing software do you all recommend?

Software Overview Recommendations
I'm your typical overwhelmed pre-newbie.

I just finished recording 2 bands at their live show. I recorded the whole thing directly to DAT. Now that I have edited and mastered it, I need to burn the file onto CD. Normally I would use Sound Forge/CD Architect since I can use the regions as the playlist. Unfortunately, I have a new CD burner that Architect can't recognize.

How is it better? Comp/software vs. . . Dig. 8track record

But how does it differ from a computer set up built solely for audio recording, mixing?
Rock drum 2-mix comp - hardware or software?
The best plug comp I have is the Ren Comp, but it sounds to loose. I want something that's going to really make the drums pop. Is there a good plug (rtas) for this, or is hardware the only way to do it well...if so, which box?
Best software and interface to use with aw4416 and MAC
i've decided to purchase a MAC G4 to edit my tracks from the 4416. I
was wondering what was the best software to use (ie digital
performer, Cubase vst, logic) and also the best interface between the
MOTU 2408 and the delta 1010. Is there something else out there
better to use? I've ruled out digi 001 only because i'm limited to
